Lingnan staff party honours and bids farewell to President Leonard K Cheng on his retirement

The first Lingnan staff party after four years of pandemic and social events was organised by the Human Resources Office, and held on 21 June 2023 at the Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West.

The theme was “A Decade of Education, A Decade of Service”, and not only did hundreds of faculty and staff members gather at the Chinese banquet for lunch, drinks and a lucky draw, but also to bid farewell to Prof Leonard K Cheng, who is about to retire. The Wong Bing Lai Music and Performing Arts Unit gave a special musical performance paying tribute to Prof Cheng for his remarkable 10 years of leadership and contributions to Lingnan.

 

The Wong Bing Lai Music and Performing Arts Unit performs a tribute to Prof Cheng, who joins other performers on stage for a song.

 

President-designate Prof Joe S Qin picks the grand prize in the lucky draw.

 

There are 59 tables at the Chinese banquet where members of staff could mingle and have fun.
