Lingnan-HKBU forum discusses strategic competition and Great Power Politics in the Indo-Pacific

The Department of Government and International Affairs at Lingnan University and the Department of Government and International Studies at Hong Kong Baptist University jointly organised a successful forum on “Strategic Competition and Great Power Politics in the Indo-Pacific: Issues and Implications” on 12 October. Over 100 attendees included diplomats from more than 10 countries, and the forum provided an excellent platform for experts to share their ideas on the topic, and enabled knowledge transfer between academics and foreign policy practitioners.

Prof Zhang Baohui, Professor of the Department of Government and International Affairs, and PhD student Deb Soumyodeep of Lingnan University offered their views on the structural causes of Great Power competition and India’s approaches to strategic competition.
