ADVenture Tour with TWGHs Even Centre – Anti-Gambling Carnival

LIFE collaborated with TWGHs Even Centre in organizing the Anti-Gambling Carnival. Student ambassadors and volunteers hosted activity booth during the event. Through the interactions with members of the community, students assisted in anti-gambling promotion and increasing community's awareness of gambling addiction.

ADVenture Tour with TWGHs Even Centre – Experiential Activity

LIFE collaborated with TWGHs Even Centre in organizing the Experiential Activity. Student ambassadors, known as ADVengers, led booth activities during the event. Through the experiential learning activities, participants experienced different simulated social situations, facilitating their understanding of gambling addiction and financial management.

ADVenture Tour in Primary Schools

LIFE representatives visited numerous primary schools for "ADVenture Tours". Student ambassadors, known as ADVengers, led booth activities during the event. Through the adventure activities, primary school students were able to enhance their concepts of self-image and problem-solving abilities, as well as facilitating their mental health.

ADVenture Tour in LU Campus Tour (Secondary Schools)

Nov 2023 to May 2024
LIFE invited different secondary schools to participate in the "ADVenture Tour". During the event, student ambassadors, known as ADVengers, led various adventure activities in the university, allowing secondary school students to gain a better understanding of the university. The event utilized experiential learning activities to enhance students’ self-awareness, confidence and skills facing challenges in their academic pursuits, as well as strengthening their life planning concepts.

ADVenture Tour with NLPRA - Estate Carnival

LIFE collaborated with The Wellness Centre (Tuen Mun) of New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association in the Estate Carnival event held in Wu King Estate. During the event, students had the opportunity to interact with the elderly in the community, increasing their awareness and concern about mental health of the elderly.

Service-learning Activity: Be a Food Saver

LIFE organized a service-learning activity titled "Be a Food Saver". A group of enthusiastic students were recruited. They visited one of the kitchens of the Food Angel in Sham Shui Po to learn how to turn surplus food into delicious dishes to reduce waste.

LIFE students provided free dental check-ups to the elderly

Students of Certificate in Dental Surgery Assisting programme assisted in providing free dental check-ups and education to the elderly.

LingnanU Elder Academy Sit-in Programme

The Sit-in Programme, sponsored by the Elder Academy Development Foundation, aims at fostering active participation of the elderly in school activities and lessons, intergenerational harmony through learn-and-teach dual identity in Elder Academy activities, and promoting life-long learning and successful aging by "Through Train" Learning Model. Senior learner of the Sit-in programme could participate in classroom discussion with classmate.
