To promote a culture of inclusivity on campus, Lingnan University’s Human Resources Office collaborated with the Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association to organise a workshop on 25 May. Through a lecture and interactive experiences, the workshop enhanced participants’ understanding of guide dogs, and talked about the needs of the visually impaired and how to be a good guide to assist them in walking safely. This workshop is part of the Lingnan University Community Service Programme, which encourages Lingnanians to engage in community service and fulfill their social responsibility by caring for others and building a caring campus.

During the event, Fung Mei, a visually impaired individual, accompanied by her seven-year-old guide dog Pizza, who has been by her side for five years, shared how Pizza brings confidence to her daily travels and becomes a source of emotional connection.
