Lingnan is family – an exchange programme visiting Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University
The gala dinner is the highlight of the exchange programme.
This annual and time-honoured exchange between Lingnan University (Lingnan) and Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University (LCSYSU) was held on the Guangzhou campus of LCSYSU recently. About 40 members of Lingnan’s sports teams and staff were chosen by the Office of Student Affairs to take part, and competed for the Lingnan Board of Trustees’ Cup to demonstrate the enthusiasm of youth and to meet each other and establish a warm relationship.
The Lingnan basketball and fencing teams participated in various events, including the 3-point shooting contest, 5-on-5 basketball match, and fencing, although LCSYSU won the overall championship.

To deepen the understanding of Lingnan's red-and-grey spirit, the Lingnan delegation stayed in historic Wing Kwong Hall (Rong Guang Tang). The staff and students of LCSYSU told them about the history of their institution, and the rich traditions of Lingnan, promoting friendship between the two establishments. The highlight of the exchange programme was the gala dinner, which was also attended by members of the LCSYSU Board of Trustees and Lingnan alumni.
The next exchange programme will be hosted by Lingnan on its Tuen Mun campus in 2025.
