This programme aims to equip students with necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to meet the industry standards to be the Health Worker (Registered under Social Welfare Department).

  • In collaboration with Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies and Haven of Hope Christian Service.
  • The Certificate is part of the "Navigation Scheme for Young Persons in Care Services". It aims at providing opportunities of employment and training, including a two-year part-time course under government subsidy, for young people who are interested to work in the elderly and rehabilitation care services, so that they may develop their profession along an established career path through on-the-job training.

  • Graduates who have completed the first year of the Certificate and meet the requirements of the Social Welfare Department will be awarded the "Certificate in Nursing Care for Elderly and Persons with Disabilities(Part-time)" by Lingnan Institute of Further Education and may apply for registration as a health worker from the Social Welfare Department.
  • The course is recognized under the Qualifications Framework (QF level 3), QR Registration No.:15/003035/L3
  • Being 17 years of age or above; AND
  • Completion of Form 5 or equivalent qualification; OR
  • Other equivalent qualifications to be assessed by LIFE

Applicants are required to complete an online application form and upload copies of the following supporting documents:

  2. An ID photo
