On 20 May, the BGS Lingnan University Chapter celebrated the induction of over a hundred outstanding business undergraduates, Master and PhD students into the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) honour society, and their lifelong membership. The ceremony marked their elite status, integrating them into a global network of professional excellence and leadership.

It also recognised their diligence and dedication in the presence of their families, friends, the Dean and Associate Deans of the Faculty of Business, Department Heads, faculty, and guests, declaring the students' achievements, ethics, and success. "I would like to ask you to accept honour, wisdom, and earnestness as principles to guide your conduct every day of your life," affirmed Chapter Advisor Professor Patrick Poon Shing-chung.

Year 4 student To Ka-wai (major in Marketing and minor in Finance) said ‘’As a business student, being a member of the BGS Lingnan University Chapter is a prestigious opportunity. It offers numerous educational and professional benefits that can greatly assist me in the business world. I anticipate that joining the Chapter will enhance my personal network and provide ongoing support throughout my career.’’

Beta Gamma Sigma was created in 1913, and represents the pinnacle of recognition for business students in AACSB-accredited programmes. Only schools accredited by the AACSB are invited to establish a BGS chapter, which recognises business students who excel academically, as well as individuals in the business world who have achieved distinction, and connects them to a worldwide community of high achievers.
