In a breathtaking showcase of Chinese culture, the signature event from the "LingArt Programme on the Promotion & Inheritance of Chinese Culture", "Elegance of Ancient Chinese Dances", unfolded on March 15 at Lingnan campus. Presented by Hong Kong Dance Company and co-organised by the Lingnan University Office of Student Affairs, the cultural feast attracted over 550 attendees, unveiling the profound beauty of Chinese culture.

Featuring seven exquisite pieces from the Pre-Qin Period to the Qing Dynasty, this captivating performance highlighted China's aesthetic achievements in the art of dance and traditional culture, encompassing rite, music, etiquette, costume, poetry, and song. Throughout the evening, an emcee artist delighted the audience with a fun game of beats and rhythms, adding an interactive element to the experience.

Dancing with the platters and drums was unique to the Han Dynasty, and expressed the thoughts, rituals and hopes of the people.
