Introduction - One-off Experience
This part offers various one-off activities such as performances, lectures, experiential classes, workshops, guided tours, and visits to cultural institutions. The topics include Chinese arts (such as Kunqu, Nanyin music, and Guqin), literature (such as Confucianism), traditional crafts (such as furniture and ceramics), and various festivals (such as the Lantern Festival), presenting the essence of Chinese culture. This part serves as an introduction of excellent Chinese culture to local, mainland, and international students, aiming to enhance young people's understanding of Chinese culture and stimulate their interest in the precious traditions of the country.

At the end of the activity, students will be able to:
1. Gain a basic understanding of the fundamental movements and gestures used in Cantonese Opera;
2. Explores the use of a particular prop and try out basic stage movements; and
3. Foster an appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Cantonese Opera.
This workshop will explore the fundamental techniques, gestures, and physicality unique to Cantonese Opera, allowing you to learn and practice various movements, poses, and gestures that are integral to Cantonese Opera performances. This workshop also provides you with the opportunity to delve into the artistry of using water sleeves and understanding the significance of traditional costumes on stage.

At the end of the activity, students will be able to:
1. Understand Chinese dance and its cultural significance;
2. Immerse in the cultural richness of ancient China by experiencing a dance performance ; and
3. Explore and learn more about ancient Chinese traditions, values, and customs.
Excerpted from the large-scale dance drama Dancing Girl of the Bronze Sparrow Pavilion, this dance features dancers entertaining Cao Cao and his generals at a grand banquet. Based on intricate footwork on upturned platters, this dance is elegant and graceful, recreating the splendour of the Han court.

2. Learn the step-by-step process of creating traditional herbal sachets; and
3. Discover various ways to use herbal sachets in daily life.
In this workshop, immerse yourself in the ancient art of crafting aromatic and therapeutic sachets using traditional Chinese herbs. Guided by experienced instructors, you will learn the art of selecting, preparing, and blending herbs to create personalized herbal sachets. Gain a deep understanding of the therapeutic properties of different herbs, and explore the harmonious combinations that deliver delightful scents and potent effects.
